An exciting opportunity exists for passionate graduating Speech Pathologist to join a motivated multi-discipline team with a company bringing health and care to people in the clinic and community settings around Epping and the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. 


Health 2 You was established from a desire to provide people with high quality healthcare where they most need it. Our team of highly skilled and reliable Speech Pathologists, OTs and Physiotherapists work to enhance the quality of life for our clients young and old. 

We deliver therapy to clients of all ages, however this role will mostly involve support to paediatric clients with different levels of ability. This role will be mostly clinic-based with some supplementary community-based (e.g. home, school, childcare, day centre) visits.

This is a diverse role involving delivery of high-quality speech pathology services to increase communicative function and independence in all aspects of our clients’ lives. This opportunity is available as a full time role, with flexibility on the days and hours you work. 

 

What you will do 


Speech – support to speak more clearly and be understood 

Language – support for people who may have trouble putting their ideas and thoughts into words and sentences or who may need support with reading and writing 

Augmentative and Alternative Communication – support using devices for people with complex communication needs 

Social Skills – support to improve the understanding of the rules for social interaction and awareness of body language, facial expressions and voice tone to improve social interactions 

Stuttering – provide strategies to support smooth speech delivery and management of stuttering to increase confidence

Voice – provide exercises and support to optimize voice quality and develop healthy vocal habits

About you:


  • Have a passion for supporting clients through their communication journey

  • Have a valid degree in Speech Pathology or graduating in 2023. 

  • Be (or obtaining) a Certified Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia with Professional Self-Regulation (Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist / CPSP status)

  • have a National Police Check & Working With Children check (VIC)

  • Access to a car (and valid driver’s licence) for community visits

  • The ability to think outside of the box

  • Use initiative to solve problems and improve services

  • Have outstanding assessment and evidence-based speech pathology intervention skills

  • Experience in the NDIS/disability sector will be highly regarded
